TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

(T) they retrace McCandless's steps.

(T) why would you starve yourself i would have ended myself before starvation.

Y: this just makes me feel like this: WOW!!!

(Y) I've never been in a situation like McCandless is in right now.

T what would you do if you did run into a bear?
Y i think it would be cool to camp in a bus.
(T) Krakauer finds the bus to better understand the conditions McCandless was in. (EX) "It's an appealing setting, open and filled with light" (Krakauer 177). (T) Why is his stuff still in the bus? (Y) I find this intreging.

T = I agree with David, Why is his stuff still in the bus?
Y = The bus reminds me of a crime scene in a who-dunnit or a slasher film.
