T: I learned about TOPO lines on a map

T: How do you tell uphill from downhill?
Y: I suck at reading maps.
T = I learned that you are doomed without a compass.
ReplyDeleteEX = Sharing my ice breaker with the class was fun.
T = How dou you keep track of all of your gear?
Y = I learned how to use a map and compass at cub scout camp.
T- It is important while hiking/camping to keep maps dry.

T- Could you end up in danger if your maps are damaged during an expedition?
Y- I should learn how to understand topographic lines on Google Earth (which I constantly use).
T- I learned the importance of keeping your maps dry
ReplyDeleteEX- I enjoyed learning about the different kind of maps and finding out that Mr. Macy lives like 20 minutes from my house
T- How much does a personal topographic map cost?
Y- I want to get a topographic map of my house and look at all the features on it
T – Today i learned that an altimiter measured the altetude you are in.
ReplyDeleteEX – i was excited to learn that you could order a map of your house and sourounding area.
T – Have you ever lost your map and had to navigate using another object.
Y – this relates to me because if i ever find myself in a situation where i dont have a map i would know how to navigate.
T-I learned that you always should laminate a map or something to keep it dry.

T-What would happen if you forgot any materials like that?

Y- I loose lots of things.
T-I learned that you should always keep your maps dry

T-what is the best thing to do when u lose or ruin your map?
Y-it relates to me because i've been canoeing before
