ReplyDeleteT. The paper is a brief overview of the history of the Graphic novel, talking about its history, and that it shows no signs of slowing down in popularity.
EX. "For approximately the past 25 years, the level of artistry in US comics and graphic novels has risen,(Shanower 2)
T. Im guessing that we are going to have five choices in which one we read, Watchmen, Sentences Persepolis, maus, and life sucks.
Y. I've read Watchmen and a few other graphic novels before.

ReplyDelete(T) Eric Shanower is basically summarizing ad describing the timeline and popularity of the graphic "novel"
(EX) The history of the cartooning seems a bit nebulously. Some comic art historians would include the paintings in ancient Egyptian tombs (paraphrasing next part) as hieroglyphs or the bayeux-tapestry which shows the Norman invasion in 1066.
(T) he forgot to mention don quijote. I wonder if he knows that
(Y) at my old school, we had anime or manga clubs out the wazoo. :)
