TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

EX.page 26, it shows a panel with people protesting the veil, and then a bunch of guys beat them with clubs.
T. It makes me wonder, do the islamo-wackos know that the US is gonna come in and kick their butts out of iran after they blow up the twin towers.

ReplyDelete(T) marji visits her dad at work and does one of those bring-your-daughter-to-work days and city gets bombed by Iraq.
(Ex) "iraquis have bombed Iran." "no! Those bstrds!"
(T) you would think that when talibans bombed us and they were living in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran with nukes that theywould be allies. I don't know. Seems logical.
(Y) we had something like te war they had but it was north against south.
