TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

(T) This chapter is about chris experience with poeple

(T) Why wouuld you do dirty jobs for free.
(Y) this connects to me cuz ive done dirty jobs
(T) Chapter 7 talks about how Chris gets a job and how he gets more experience with people.

T: What does surfeit mean?
Y: this relates to me because i have tried to fix stuff before
(T) the pages I read talked about how McCandless finds work.

(T) How much money will McCandless make at his new job?
(Y) It would be a great town if no one talked about books at all.
T = we learn a little about why chris is mad at his parents.

Y = I feel a little confused about this chapter, too much was going on for me to process.

y- I have had to do work that i have hadded to do before.
T chris goes back to his friend gets a job and wants to save up fot his trip. also talkes about his family

T. Chris arives in Cathrege and makes a decent amout of cash from working on a farm, It also goes into detail on why he dosen't like his parents, aswell as what happens afterr he leaves.

(T) Alex's time in Carthage, South Dakota is chronicoled. He meets up with Jan Torres again. (EX) I don't have my book on me at the momment so I will give you 2 on the Thoreau packet. (T) How does he make about $1000 doing farm work for that short period of time? (Y) This guy is 1/2 nuts and 1/2 sane.
