Google Lit Trips

Please do some research about the Google Lit Trips program. In your posting, please include:
1. One interesting feature of Google Lit Trips
2. One direction/instruction for using the program (be as technical as possible)
3. One recommendation for how we could use Google Lit Trips in class
Remember, no repeats.
Have a great weekend!

  2. 1) I have never seen anything like this it shows the exact place from outer space
    2) A tip is to actually read and re-read the important parts of the book(Specifically places)
    3) it would help us show that we know about technology and how we interact with technology.

  3. I love how u cn see where the characters went
the basic Google Earth skills necessary for building a Google Lit
Trip are having the ability to find locations on Google Earth, being able to mark those locations with place marks
and being able to draw paths representing the characters’ movements from one location to the next.
we coud all do a lit trip on our book of choice

  4. i like how you can trace a persons steps and there journey and where they go

a tip would be to have the places on hand so you can make the trip

we can get a book that the class chooses and make a trip that follows what the character does and where he/she goes

  5. I think its cool that you can in location markers to represent where a person has gone in your book

to use it properly and for it to make it understandabl you must put descriptive detals on the location and how they conect to the book

we could use ones that have alredy bin made to dicied what book to read next/ to breview the next book

  6. i like that you can make your own trips if you wanted to.

you can search for just about anything you would want to find anywhere in the world.

we could make our own trips or we could use it to do trips from books in the future

  7. 1. I think it's pretty cool to see where the character goes from a bird's eye view.

    2. Always check to make sure you didn't forget a big story point.

    3. We could use this to better understand the big picture of where a character in a story goes, and what he/she does there.

  8. 1. what i think is cool about this is that u can get a full and clear view of every place u go to in lit trips.
    2. Write down the long and lat of each waypoint of ur trip.
    3. I could use this for making my own trip and see what towns or cities I might have to go through.

  9. That I might what to use google lit trips to track my trip to aspen
The part you can go anywhere and just point a spot
Go on a far away field trip and track it

  10. I like how you can find anything anywhere even if it is not listed, since it has well rendered satellite images. Type the waypoint or destination into Google Earth, find the correct location (sometimes they give you more than one option), click the mark icon. We could map a recent vacation each of us went on.

    2. make sure yo write everything down to the didget, it will make your life a hell of a lot easier.

    3. I could use this to make a road trip map for my parents, since they have the technical skill of a three year old.
