TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

(T) The congeragation at the meeting is mean to a kid who has to state his name

(T) why are they mean to this one kid
(Y) that hapeened to me one year.
(T) The meeting goes haywire, the littluns run off. (EX) They hear cries on the beach. (T) How did this tension build up so fast? (Y) I went to a cub scout meeting once, and it did NOT end well.
