(EX) If a white man became a negro in the Deep South, what adjustments would he have to make?(Griffin 1)
    (T) I would never change the color of my skin.
    (Y) Why would people hate another person just for having a different color of skin?

  6. Lucky five!!!

    (T) John Howard griffin is leaving his old life to figure out how the "black" people live their lives. Basically a paraphrase of "hit the road Jack. And dot you come back no more."

(EX) "I prepared to walk into a life that appeared mysterious and frightening. With my decision to become a Negro I realized that I, a specialist in race issues, really knew nothing of the Negros real problem." -J. Griffin, 2nd page

    (T) Wow. This dude has guts. Is he foolish or REALLY brave?

    (Y) Being someone whose relatives are scattered around the deep south, I truly speak in the southern mind of my family in the past when I say, "good luck".
