TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

(T) Jonathon Mooney tells his story. He was a kid who went through bad and good teachers. He can't spell, read and much more. He was taught he was stupid and not useful. (EX) He is slowly making his way. (T) Why do his teachers sound like mine (in a different order though)? Why is Mrs C so oblivious to his true potential? Why does his father do nothing and expect so much? Why do the "gifted" kids do this cruel thing to an emotional person? (Y) I was in "Gifted and Talented", but I didn't do that stuff. Gifted and Talented is a horrific name, as it suggests that the others are ungifted and ordinary when in fact they usually end up on top.

Y i went throw some pretty bad schools
(T) He had a teacher that helped him learn and didnt degrade his feelings.

(Y) This realtes to me because i went through some BAD schools.
(T) He had a special teacher who helped him through school.

T: I agree with Nick and David G. Why didn't he go to D.A. and also with David A. because if the "gifted and talented" were so "gifted and talented" why would they do and say those mean things to him?
Y: this relates to me because i have had some pretty bad teachers before.

Our DA basketball team has a scrimage against denver ventur on friday you guys should come. it will be alot of fun. I hope we look at the blogs in class tomaro so that people read this, otherwize it was tottaly pointles to post this comment nad a wast of my time. Seing how i am one of the last posters? Sorry i put a quisthion mark there i ment for it to be a period. sorry that was my ADD kicking in there, no but serisally you guys should come to the scrimage.
