TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

T. Greg needed to go back to the states and call the Frenchie again.

T. Couldn't Greg just have helicoptered the supplies over?
Y. I have experienced this kind of frustration before.
T: Gregs gilfriend dumps him.
ReplyDeleteEX: He is going to try and build the bridge.
T: Does greg have any kids?
Y: I know how he feels.
T- One thing i just read about was greg got fired from his job at the hoospital.
ReplyDeleteEX- The most exciting part was when he got a knock on his motel room door.
T- Why did he not contact his girlfriend while he was gone?
Y- I too have wanted to give up before but fought through with it!

T=Poor Greg, he's worked so hard and now he's hit a road block.

T=How did Greg Lose his job? That part was cofuzing.
Y=I'm sure I felt like giving up at times too on serten things.
T-he worked really hard to get the scholl build but then he had to come back to not have any money and have his girl friend break up with him

Y- i would hate to do something good but then come back to the us and not have done any thing

ReplyDeleteHe came all the way back to her once he realized he couldn't build the school.
I am annoyed she didn't let Greg explain himself to her.
