TEXTY
T- Tell me something about what you read
EX- Write out an EXcerpt from the book (with citation) related to the most significant or pivotal point in the reading
Example: "My father was crying. It was the first time I saw him cry. I had never thought it possible" (Wiesel 19).
T- Try to understand better by asking a question
Y- How does it relate to you? OR, if it does not relate to you; How did reading this make you FEEL?

T. New York City gets bombed on 9/11

Y. I remember where I was when 9/11 happened.
T - The twin towers got atacked by terrorists on September 11, 2001.

T - It says on p. 249 that there are such things like rehydration salts. How can you get rehydrated with salt. Doesent that do the oppisite?
Y - I remember watching the news in my house about the atackts on 9/11/01 like Luke.

Y- i was sick sep 11 and my mom thought i was waching a really violent movie, haha

T= What's with the salt that people keep menchoning?
Y= On 9/11/01 I was nine years old, sitll in third grade I think. My parents mentioned something about a palne crash on the news (I may have watched something on the new to after school too). But it didn't really sink in, I just thought it was sad. Kreg Nippienburg came and taked to the whole school about it and expalend the whole thing. Kreg was the schools socail worker that came and taked to class every now and then.

E-the guy who put himself in front of the mystery man couldve died if the mystery man was evil
X-what was osama's reason to kill all those people? why? WHY?!! if u ask me, the american military should focus on getting osama instead of iraq. also, bobert, how did yur mom react when she saw it was real?

Y-we should seriously watch a 9/11 video on youtube (if there is one)
t.- september 11, 2001. the planes hit the world trade centers, the pentagon, and the field in Pennsylvania.

y.- i remember when the trade centers were hit and was there less than one year before it happened.

Y: on september 11, i was getting ready for school and my carpool lady told us to turn on the news because something just happened. it was a good thing we turned on the tv unless we wouldn't have known about it till much later in the day.
